Inventory Storage Tips

Do you know where your inventory is stored? Here is some time saving tips for the holidays (or year round). Do you ever sell something and look high & low and can't find it? During busy seasons the last thing you want to do is loose your inventory & have to cancel a sale or try to find the same item on eBay so you can ship it to your customer!

When listing eBay provides you with a Custom Label field (this is only view-able to you).

1 - Invest in Plastic Totes or banker boxes; then number or alphabetize your totes. The Dollar General around here has good sized totes for $9 and on Saturday you can generally use a coupon for $5 off $25 or more.

2 - When listing: Use that custom field to enter: the tote number and item number. I also put the month and year I listed the item as well as how much I paid for it in this field. This helps when a customer makes a best offer or I am trying to decide what to put up for auction.

3 - After taking pictures and listing immediately place that item in that location.
