Utilizing Social Media in Your eBay Business

Should you be promoting your eBay listings on Social Media? I suppose it's hard to know if doing so is actually working by bringing in more buyers, but my thoughts on the subject is that it can't hurt and it only takes a little bit of time per day. After you complete your listing, the box that pops up (asks if you'd like to sell similar, are done, etc.), has Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest buttons.

Pin to eBay Selling Boards (join several Group Boards) - an interesting argument here is that most of these boards are only for sellers pinning to promote so will buyers ever see your pins. However, Pinterest is an excellent tool to get your items seen on Google. There is not a guarantee that a buyer will see your particular pin, but it only takes a few minutes to pin several items and even though there is no guarantee, there is also no guarantee that they won't see it. It's worth the risk.

Add to eBay's Facebook Page (Limit 5 per day)

Create Collections on eBay - It's very similar to Pinterest. These collections do appear in search. Every time you list a new item, add it to your collection, then share it. Use rich keywords in your collection title to attract more customers.

Join a Pinning Group on Facebook so it's not just you pinning your items. A good one to join is The Original Pinterest Exchange Group. You have to request an invitation. You can post up to 5 pins a day and have to repin 3 times that number of other members' pins.
